Telephone Triage...
Many problems can be adequately assessed and advised over the telephone, saving time and travel for our patients.
You can ask to talk to either the GP or PN.
The doctors now have more time allocated for telephone consultations and we encourage patients to use this facility where possible.
Receptionists are also trained to ask the nature of the problem (although you are perfectly entitled not to disclose this) in order to assess whether a GP or PN might be most appropriate, or if you require urgent attention.
