Road Traffic Accidents...
For all patients attending an NHS facility, whether A&E or GP, a fee is payable.
If attending A&E, this is collected by the new NHS Injury Costs Recovery (ICR) scheme automatically from your insurance company. The NHS ICR came into force on 29th January 2007. This fee is claimed from your insurer without any loss of no claims bonus.
If attending GP, a fee of £21.40 is payable as defined in the Road Traffic Act 1988, section 158. This amount can be reclaimed from your insurer without any loss of no claims bonus.
