Practice profile:
A small but well motivated practice & growing Dronfield-based practice, serving large modern estates and surrounding area. Near to Peak District, M1, Meadowhall and other attractions.
We are a GMS practice based in a new, purpose-built medical centre, with easy access to Sheffield and Chesterfield. The practice has a full Primary Health Care Team (PHCT).
One partners holds Fellowship By Assessment (FBA), and the practice holds the RCGP Quality Practice Award (QPA).
All the usual clinics plus GUM, Minor Injuries and Substance Misuse. Patient Participation and Stop Smoking groups.
We have an employed GP, and we accommodate a “team” of 4 GP Registrars using interactive group activities: E.g. Debriefs after all surgeries & weekly tutorials. GPRs also have protected project sessions.
A rolling programme of Clinical Team, full PHCT and Palliative Care team meetings, plus Business meetings, held weekly each Wednesday.
Registrars are encouraged to become an integral part of the Practice Team and are expected to take a fair share of the workload and responsibilities and they are expected to attend all VTS organised activities.
On-call provided by Derbyshire Healthcare.
Registrar on-call commitment follows Trent Guidelines.
